Foxborough, MA
- May 21, 2003 - mGen, Inc., a leading developer
of advanced distributed knowledge, human capital and
learning management systems, today announced it has
integrated mGen Enterprise, its learning and knowledge
management system used by the U.S. Army's Battle Command
Training Program (BCTP), to the Army Knowledge Online
(AKO) portal
In an effort to increase and improve
war-fighting preparedness, BCTP utilizes mGen Enterprise
- mGen's knowledge, learning and collaboration solution
to train National Guard brigades in preparation for
face-to-face training at Fort Leavenworth. AKO is the
official portal for all Army personnel, providing Army
news, a search engine, a chat room, customized personnel
data and additional learning resources. By logging in
once to the BCTP training system and the AKO portal,
BCTP users avoid numerous log-ins and can better achieve
their mission goals and objectives.
"At mGen, we are always looking
for ways to make it easier for our customers to achieve
their mission objectives," said Jack Battersby,
president and CEO of mGen. "By creating a secure
authentication between the mGen system, BCTP users and
AKO, we are creating one less obstacle for users and
IT administrators to jump over. We are happy to create
a more streamlined approach that helps the Army communicate
and collaborate more efficiently."
