MGEN LAUNCHES FIRST RESPONDER SOLUTION
FOR THE GOVERNMENT MARKET
-- Helps Identify, Locate and Deploy
Teams of Personnel to Any Scenario or Event, Including
Homeland Security and Incident Response --
Foxborough,
MA - April 28, 2003 - mGen, Inc., a leading developer
of advanced distributed knowledge, human capital and
learning management systems, today announced First Responder,
a new software solution that allows government organizations
to build teams based on competencies, demographics,
surveys and other employee information.
First Responder enables government agencies
to respond quickly to mission-critical initiatives or
other critical incidents by identifying, locating and
deploying the most appropriate personnel resources to
any given event, such as homeland security and incident
response.
Given the current world conditions,
government agencies must be prepared to handle a variety
of situations, said Peter R. Alternative, principal
of RCW Mirus, Inc. In order to address key mission
challenges and time-sensitive incidents, agencies must
be able to tap into their vast repositories of human
capital and quickly and effectively deploy the right
people for the right situation. Solutions like mGens
First Responder provide organizations with the necessary
resources to tackle ever-changing and unanticipated
challenges.
First Responder aggregates and sorts
a variety of information, including knowledge and human
talent contained within learning, knowledge and human
capital management systems. While other solutions claim
to aggregate people and their competencies, First Responder
is the only solution that aggregates and sorts a variety
of information from a variety of repositories - including
Learning Management Systems (LMS), Human Resource Information
Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and
resume databases - yielding the broadest and most efficient
assessment of individuals that best meets specific needs.
While government agencies have
made great strides to better prepare their workforce,
until now there has been no solution available that
provides the ability to develop best-in-class teams
to effectively respond to any type of incident,
said Jack Battersby, CEO and president of mGen. First
Responder enables government organizations to leverage
organizational talent and help them achieve their mission
goals.
Key features of First Responder include
the ability to:
· Identify specific criteria by weight and rank;
· Sort, filter and group candidates to be part
of a required team;
· Highlight individual users and receive detailed
personnel information, histories and biographies;
· Seamlessly integrate with mGen Enterprises
organizational communications system or third-party
learning management systems and competency management
systems.
